What Makes Ozadi Tavira Hotel A Great Place For Golfers

There are several hotels in the Algarve that regard themselves as a good base for golfers coming to the Algarve in Portugal for a few days hitting that little white ball. The Algarve is a fairly compact area but it is still nice to pick a hotel that has a number of courses nearby so travelling is minimised. • Colina Verde is a 9 hole course which is ideal for those learning the game and wanting to improve their short game. It has only a single Par 4.
• Quinta da Ria is situated in a nature reserve bordered by the sea to the south. Its designer, American Rocky Roquemore opens with a Par 5, and the dogleg Par 3 5th is a challenging hole protected by a lake. The views and the nearby beach are features of the back 9 which finishes with a Par 5 that is well guarded by bunkers.
• Monte Ria was designed by Jack Nicklaus; it is on rolling hills and offers 5 star treatment the minute golfers arrive.
• Castro Marim has 3 sets of 9 holes which can be played in different combinations. It requires good course management because there is plenty of water.
• Quinta do Vale is a Seve Ballesteros design overlooking the River Guadiana near the Spanish border.

There are more famous names on the Algarve golf circuit than these but the variety on offer means they deserve serious consideration. Certainly the Ozadi Tavira Hotel is able to add to the enjoyment of golfers during their visit as evidenced by the number of people who talk so positively about their time there.
